Germany's Minister of Agriculture and Food, Alois Rayner, has proposed an initiative to increase the country's food reserves in preparation for emergencies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the minister, the main focus is on products that can be consumed immediately. In particular, it is planned to increase the reserves of canned pasta and similar products.
In an interview with journalists, Alois Rayner stated that he intends to form these as a national reserve of quickly prepared and consumable products. The total value of the initiative is expected to be between 80 and 90 million euros.
The minister emphasized that the current geopolitical situation and problems in global supply chains are prompting Germany to take such measures. Therefore, the reserve of ready-made products is considered important for ensuring the country's security and stability.
This initiative serves to enhance Germany's preparedness for future emergencies.
