The Japanese government has decided to close all six branches of the non-profit organization called the "Japan Center" operating in Russian territory. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced to journalists by Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi. According to him, this decision is related to the current political relations between Tokyo and Moscow as well as the existing situation in Russia.
Hayashi emphasized that an official decision has been made to suspend the activities of the centers. Additionally, according to the TBS television channel, the Japanese government had previously warned the Russian side about this decision.
Assistance has been requested to ensure the safety of the employees working at the centers. This decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening political and social situation between the two countries.
Relations between Japan and Russia are currently at a complicated stage, and such decisions may affect the future relations between the two sides. The closure of the centers is expected to cause changes in the cultural and social spheres as well.
This decision was made by the Japanese government with the aim of closely monitoring the situation in Russia and ensuring the safety of its employees.
