The “Stop Kredit” service, which has been operating in Kazakhstan for over a year, has become an important tool in protecting citizens from fraud. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This service operates through the Egov mobile application and allows the population to restrict taking loans in their name. According to the Jibek Joly TV channel, this system is recognized as an effective mechanism for preventing fraud cases.
With the help of the service, any citizen of Kazakhstan can voluntarily stop taking loans. In this case, other individuals are deprived of the opportunity to borrow money in their name.
According to official data, since the launch of the service, more than three million people have voluntarily refused credit, thereby protecting themselves from financial fraudsters. The “Stop Kredit” service also allows the restriction to be lifted at any time.
Nevertheless, even if a person has removed the restriction, if fraudsters take out a loan in their name, banks are required to cancel this debt without court or investigation. These rules are aimed at ensuring financial security.
Such services increase the population’s trust in the banking system. Especially in the digital age, when fraud related to personal data and financial transactions is increasing, the “Stop Kredit” service is an important means of protection for citizens.
Additionally, it is planned to provide citizens who purchase cattle and sheep in Kazakhstan with preferential loans at a 5 percent interest rate. This measure is also aimed at improving the socio-economic situation of the population.
