The process of recognizing the State of Palestine has entered a new phase. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Umar Awadallah, Deputy Foreign Minister of Palestine, the ongoing casualties in the Gaza Strip and Israel's actions in the West Bank and Jerusalem are having a significant impact on the position of the international community. He stated that the process of recognizing Palestinian statehood has noticeably accelerated in recent months and is the logical outcome of diplomatic efforts carried out over many years.
Awadallah emphasized that this process is not only a political success but also a truth that has emerged against the backdrop of violations of the rights of the Palestinian people and the violence directed against them. International recognitions are seen as an important practical step towards implementing the two-state solution.
He also noted that the idea of creating a new Middle East without the State of Palestine is a dream that will never come true. In recent weeks, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have announced their official recognition of the State of Palestine.
France is also expected to adopt the same decision in the coming days. To date, out of 193 UN member states, 147 have recognized Palestine as a sovereign state.
Thus, international developments indicate that the process of recognizing the State of Palestine has reached a new stage. Experts believe that this process may also have a significant impact on future geopolitical events.
