Are 'real life lessons' starting in German schools?
A sensational news in the European secondary education system: children in schools in Germany are being prepared for wars and other crises. This was announced by the country's deputy Roderix Kizevetter in an interview with the Handesblatt publication.

“Not only a timetable but also life scenarios are needed!” – says the deputy.

From natural disasters to military conflicts — one must be prepared for everything

According to the deputy, emergency preparedness courses should be implemented in schools. Through these courses, children will learn how to act in situations such as natural disasters, military conflicts, or other critical scenarios.

Interestingly, such a system has already been implemented in Finland and has proven effective. Germany has only just begun to take this issue seriously.

A child is not just the future, but also the most vulnerable group in the present

As Kizevetter emphasized, during crises, children are considered the most vulnerable group. Therefore, it is very important to protect them and teach them not to panic in emergencies.

The German Ministry of the Interior also supported this initiative and called for strengthening education in civil defense.

72-hour “survival” supplies

The “Emergency Preparedness Strategy” presented by the European Commission states that every citizen should prepare a minimum stock of the following items at home:

- Drinking water;
- Medicines;
- Matches, fire starters;
- Flashlight and batteries;
- Warm clothing;
- Long-lasting food products.

These supplies should ensure that a person can sustain themselves independently for at least three days.

The reality: Europe is now transitioning from “teaching” to “preparing” schools!

Education today is becoming a field that not only provides knowledge and subjects but also necessary experiences for survival in life. In the context of natural disasters, wars, or global crises, such approaches are becoming more prevalent in European society.

Zamin.uz question:
How do you evaluate this news? Do Uzbek schools also need such “life lessons”?
