Aysha Bayri witnessed three sultans and twelve presidents during her lifetime. She was born in 1898 and lived through many significant periods in Turkey's history due to her longevity.
Aysha Bayri lived during the reigns of the last three sultans of the Ottoman Empire — Abdulhamid II, Mehmed Rashid V, and Mehmed Vahdeddin VI — and also saw twelve presidents of independent Turkey. Aysha Bayri resided in the Suluova district of Amasya province.
She had five children and twenty grandchildren. Her life was closely connected with Turkey's historical changes and held an important place in the lives of statesmen such as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Throughout her long life, Aysha Bayri always witnessed historical events and participated in their formation either directly or indirectly. Recently, Aysha Bayri was treated in a hospital due to breathing difficulties and organ failure.
The governor of Suluova district, Rifat Uzun, emphasized that she was one of the oldest citizens in our country. Aysha Bayri's funeral ceremony was held at the "Haji Mustafa" mosque and she was then buried in the Suluova district cemetery.
The ceremony was attended by local government representatives, family members, and the public. Aysha Bayri's long and meaningful life serves as a great source of inspiration for any person, highlighting the importance of valuing history and remaining loyal to family and nation.
