China's Cyberspace Administration has announced the launch of a two-month comprehensive campaign against content spreading negative moods on the internet. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of this campaign, officials plan to take strict measures against internet trolls and provocateurs. The main focus will be on negative content spreading on social networks, short video platforms, and streaming services.
Measures will be taken against content that induces negative attitudes towards life and intensifies feelings such as fatigue with living. Additionally, efforts will be made to combat the "sang culture," which is widespread among young people and has emerged due to economic difficulties and lack of job opportunities.
It is emphasized that the spread of this culture can negatively affect not only the consciousness of young people but also the overall mood of society. Social network algorithms often present content tailored to users' interests, which leads to the amplification of negative opinions.
For this reason, the new campaign mainly targets those who provoke negative thoughts, unfounded criticism, and discussions. Furthermore, cruel and ruthless materials distributed with the help of artificial intelligence will also be banned.
Internet trolls will be forced to hide, and conspiracy theories and false information will not be allowed. Strict penalties are planned for violators, although the exact measures to be taken by the government are not yet known.
Through this new policy, Chinese officials aim to cleanse the internet environment, foster a healthy mood among young people, and strengthen control in the virtual world.
