Starting from October 1, a new special "K" category visa will be introduced in China for young foreign specialists working in the fields of science and technology. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was announced that this decision was made by the State Council of China in August. The main goal of the new system is to strengthen international relations, expand scientific and research cooperation, and create broad opportunities for young specialists.
Holders of the "K" visa will be granted more privileges compared to the previous 12 types of visas. In particular, there will be no limit on the number of entries into the country, the visa validity period will be extended, and the right to stay for a longer duration will be ensured.
"K" visa holders can participate in educational programs, cultural events, and scientific-technical exchange projects. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to engage in entrepreneurship, business activities, or implement startup projects within China.
One important update is that during the application process, an invitation from a Chinese employer or organization is not required. This will significantly simplify the document submission process for young specialists and eliminate unnecessary obstacles.
According to migration experts, the introduction of the new visa category will enhance China's international prestige. At the same time, the country may become a global hub for attracting talented specialists in the high-tech sector.
It is worth noting that this decision is being implemented following changes in the H-1B visa program for foreign specialists in the United States. According to Donald Trump's executive order, companies are now required to pay an annual fee of $100,000 for each candidate.
This is prompting foreign specialists to seek new opportunities.
