Twelve countries including France, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Saudi Arabia have established a new international coalition to support the Palestinian Authority. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this. The main task of the coalition is to ensure Palestine's financial stability, maintain the administrative system, and guarantee the uninterrupted delivery of social services to the population.
This initiative is being implemented in response to the financial difficulties that arose after the Israeli government withheld Palestine's tax and customs revenues. Coalition members have pledged to provide at least 170 million dollars in aid to Palestine.
Of this amount, 90 million dollars will be allocated by Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the coalition is calling on Israel to transfer Palestine's financial revenues without delay and not to obstruct the functioning of the administration.
To date, more than 150 countries worldwide have recognized Palestine as an independent state. This international recognition may enable Palestine to further strengthen its self-governance process.
