A new initiative has been proposed by prominent countries around the world to address the financial difficulties of the Palestinian Authority. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a coalition of 12 donor countries has been formed, including France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and seven other countries. The main task of this coalition is to ensure Palestine's financial stability, support the state governance system, and facilitate the delivery of essential services to the population.
This initiative is being implemented in response to the financial crisis caused by Israel withholding Palestine's tax and customs revenues. Currently, the coalition plans to allocate at least 170 million dollars in aid, of which 90 million dollars belong to Saudi Arabia.
The remaining funds will be provided by other countries. The donor coalition also calls on the Israeli government to immediately transfer the financial revenues belonging to Palestine and not to obstruct the activities of the Palestinian Authority.
Today, more than 150 countries have officially recognized the State of Palestine, demonstrating the international community's significant attention to ensuring Palestine's stability. This cooperation is considered an important step towards peace and development in the region.
