More than 10 killed in Quetta explosion
On September 30, a powerful explosion occurred in front of the border troops headquarters in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's Balochistan province. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to official information, at least ten people were killed in this tragedy, and another 32 individuals sustained injuries of varying degrees. It is emphasized that among the victims are military personnel and civilians.

After the explosion, an armed group attempted to attack the troop post, which led to a shootout and clashes with security forces. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for this attack.

There are speculations that it may be related to separatist and insurgent groups that have been active in the region for many years. Security in Balochistan remains consistently complex, as important strategic projects such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor are being implemented in this area.

The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan strongly condemned the incident, expressed condolences to the families of the victims, and emphasized that the perpetrators will be identified and strict measures will be taken against them. The injured have been hospitalized and are receiving necessary medical care.

Experts believe that the explosion in Quetta poses a serious threat not only to the local population but also to the security and stability of the entire region. The continuation of terrorist activities could also negatively impact the major economic programs being carried out in Balochistan.

Therefore, there is a need to strengthen security in the region and intensify the fight against terrorism.
