British citizen Mitchell Deakin miraculously survived a parachute jump from 3000 meters without a parachute in Nevada, USA. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Neither his main nor reserve parachute opened, yet he survived. The Daily Mail reported on this incident.
According to information, Deakin jumped in tandem with instructor Hiron Arsos Ponce. Due to fortunate circumstances, both survived.
However, Deakin sustained serious injuries: several ribs were broken, his pelvic bone was damaged, his kidneys were injured, and a hole was found in his lung. He was quickly taken into surgery, and his pelvic bone was reinforced with metal plates.
He is currently recovering under medical supervision. The instructor's condition remains critical.
The US Federal Aviation Administration is thoroughly investigating all details of the incident. Meanwhile, Deakin's partner Isabel has launched a fundraising campaign for his treatment and rehabilitation.
So far, £16,000, approximately $21,500, has been raised. The funds will be used to cover medical services, transportation, and living expenses.
If there are surplus funds, they are planned to be donated to charity.
Experts consider this case a rare example of disaster and fortunate survival in parachuting.
