The US Department of the Treasury has imposed new sanctions on companies and individuals supporting Iran's military-industrial complex. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the information, a total of 21 companies and 17 individuals have been added to the sanctions list. They are accused of supplying technology and equipment necessary for Iran's military needs.
The restrictions apply to networks operating in Iran, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Turkey, Portugal, and Uruguay. These networks supply equipment for ballistic missiles, air defense systems, helicopters, and military aircraft.
The US government emphasizes that these networks serve to enhance Iran's military power, posing a threat to the safety of American military personnel, ships, and civilians. Under the sanctions, all assets of the restricted companies and individuals within US territory will be frozen, and financial transactions with them will be prohibited.
Violations may lead to civil or criminal liability, and secondary sanctions may also be applied to foreign banks. Among the public, this decision is seen as a new escalation in relations between the US and Iran.
These sanctions indicate a further intensification of conflicts between the two countries. The US measures aim to limit Iran's military capabilities and ensure stability in the region.
