Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban emphasized at the European Union leaders' summit held in Copenhagen that there is no need to fear Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, Russia cannot pose a serious threat to Europe because it is considered much weaker militarily and economically. Additionally, the population of Russia is significantly smaller than that of the European Union, which also indicates its weakness.
Orban stated that approximately 131 to 140 million people live in Russia, whereas the population of the European Union exceeds 400 million. These figures show that Russia's economic and demographic capabilities are not very large compared to Europe.
He also emphasized that Russia's economy is small and much weaker compared to the European economy. The Hungarian leader noted that if Russian drones attempt to violate Hungarian airspace, they will be immediately shot down.
He added that there is no need to be afraid in such situations and that necessary measures will be taken. According to Orban, the country remains firm and ready to defend its territory.
These views also relate to the European Union's security policy and once again highlight the importance of maintaining regional stability.
