According to the United Nations (UN), the situation in the Gaza Strip is worsening due to ongoing Israeli air and ground attacks. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Significant destruction has occurred in residential areas, resulting in many casualties. UN Secretary-General's spokesperson Stephane Dujarric emphasized this issue during a press conference.
According to him, the safety of humanitarian workers in Gaza remains under serious threat. Israel's continuous and intense bombardments are causing civilian deaths and destruction of homes.
It was also noted that the lives of humanitarian workers are at risk. According to reports, on October 3, an Israeli airstrike killed a humanitarian worker standing at a bus stop near a hospital, and four others were seriously injured.
Since October 8, at least 562 aid workers have been killed in Gaza, of whom 376 are UN personnel. These figures clearly demonstrate the significant danger posed to the UN's humanitarian mission.
Urgent action by the international community is necessary to protect the lives of humanitarian workers and civilians.
