
Several Iranian citizens suspected of drug trafficking were arrested during a special operation conducted in the Uşak province of Turkey. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's anti-narcotics department announced this. During the operation, more than 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized from the suspects.
Part of the substance was found at their residence, while the rest was attempted to be smuggled inside the criminals' stomachs. According to official information, the operation was based on intelligence related to the smuggling of drugs from Iran to Turkey.
During surveillance, it was determined that three suspects arrived from Iran at Adnan Menderes Airport in İzmir and then traveled by taxi to Uşak province. The detainees were taken to the hospital for medical examination.
X-ray examination revealed methamphetamine capsules in their stomachs. The court decided to keep the Iranian citizens in custody.
This operation was carried out within the framework of combating drug trafficking and as part of measures aimed at ensuring national security. Turkish law enforcement agencies continue to fight against drug abuse and take strict measures against such crimes.
