Starting from November 1, 2025, the United States will impose an additional 100 percent tariff on Chinese products. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
US President Donald Trump announced this on his social media page. He emphasized that the new tariffs are separate from the current duties, and depending on China's future actions, the implementation date could be moved up.
This decision by the US is in response to China's plan to impose export restrictions on almost all products starting November 1. At the same time, the US will strengthen export controls on software and dual-use technologies.
These technologies include products that can be used in both civilian and military sectors. According to the new regulations, if products manufactured in China contain small amounts of rare earth metals, a special license will be required for their export.
This requirement applies to metals as well as technologies for their extraction, processing, utilization, and the production of magnetic materials. The Chinese government stated that these restrictions were introduced to protect national security, state interests, and to control the spread of technologies.
These measures are being implemented within the framework of fulfilling international obligations.
