Heavy clashes began on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border
On the evening of October 11, heavy clashes occurred in several areas along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

There are reports that the Afghan side fired shots at a Pakistani border post. In response, Pakistan carried out artillery strikes.

This was reported by the UPL.uz website. Although the fighting somewhat subsided on the morning of October 12, separate shootings continued around the Kurram district.

Pakistani officials stated that several military points in Afghan territory were struck and some key positions were destroyed. The Afghan side, however, reported having captured several Pakistani block-posts.

According to Kabul's information, 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed. Islamabad reported that 23 military personnel were killed and over 200 members of the "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan" group were eliminated.

So far, these figures have not been confirmed by independent sources. Prior to the incident, the Afghan government accused Pakistan of conducting air strikes, but Islamabad denied this claim and stated that the attack was targeted at TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud.

On October 12, for security reasons, Pakistan closed the Torkham, Chaman, Kharlachi, Angur-Adda, and Ghulam Khan border posts. As a result, trade and passenger traffic between the two countries was temporarily suspended.

Currently, the parties continue to exchange accusations. Islamabad believes that the TTP operates from Afghan territory, while Kabul denies these allegations.

The international community is calling on both countries to resolve the situation peacefully, urging de-escalation and negotiations.
