US President Donald Trump announced during a trip on Air Force One on the night of October 13 that if Russia does not stop its aggression against Ukraine by peaceful means, America may provide Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kiev. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, this measure is seen not as a step towards victory but as a swift and strong warning. Trump emphasized that on October 11 and 12, he discussed this issue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and warned about the possible provision of missiles.
The President believes that this move could be perceived as a new phase of aggression. Additionally, Trump stated the necessity of negotiations with the Russians regarding the Tomahawk missiles and assumed that they would not agree to the use of such weapons.
He also expressed his intention to warn Russian President Vladimir Putin about this possibility. He mentioned that if necessary, the missiles might be delivered not directly to Ukraine but to NATO countries capable of receiving them in Kiev.
Tomahawk missiles are described as offensive and intimidating weapons that could exert significant pressure on Russia. Such statements may lead to serious consequences at the level of global politics.
Any military aid or its outcomes provided by the US and NATO are carefully evaluated from diplomatic, military, and legal perspectives. Donald Trump considers the provision of missiles as a strong signal before combat actions.
