SpaceX is successfully continuing test flights for Moon and Mars missions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On October 13, the company announced on its social media page that the 11th test flight of the Starship rocket was successfully completed. This rocket prototype took off from the Starbase launch site in Texas at 18:24 local time.
During the flight, Starship reached space, and its booster, Super Heavy, returned to the Gulf of Mexico approximately 10 minutes later. Additionally, mock-ups of Starlink satellites were also deployed into orbit during the flight.
This test flight was one of the final tests conducted to trial additional functions for missions aimed at the Moon and Mars. The Starship rocket, together with Super Heavy, stands 123 meters tall, making it currently the largest and most powerful space rocket.
SpaceX is striving to develop this rocket to be reusable, which will significantly reduce the costs of space flights. According to Elon Musk's plans, the Starship rocket is expected to fly to Mars in 2026 and participate in NASA's crewed missions to the Moon.
Starship tests have been ongoing since 2023 and are planned to advance to new stages in the near future.
