A recently adopted decision in Turkey has sparked various discussions among the public. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as previously reported, the regulation will apply not to all citizens of Turkic states, but only to foreign nationals of Turkish origin. Official information states that this document partially updates the decision "On the free professional activity of foreign nationals of Turkish origin and their employment in Turkish state and private institutions."
From now on, only individuals who prove their Turkish ethnicity will have the right to work in Turkey without a special permit. According to the explanation provided by Uzbekistan's embassy in Turkey, this decision does not apply to citizens of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
For them, labor activity in Turkey will continue to be carried out under current legislation, that is, through work visas and permits. Experts believe that this decision was made to protect Turkey's internal labor market and support local personnel.
At the same time, it is emphasized that new agreements aimed at facilitating labor relations with Turkic states may be developed in the future. This decision serves to maintain labor market stability and ensure the priority of the local workforce.
