Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed a decree creating new conveniences for citizens of Turkic states — Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this decree, citizens of these countries will no longer be required to obtain citizenship or go through long and complicated permit procedures to work or engage in business activities in Turkey. A residence permit alone will suffice for them.
However, these conveniences do not apply to the fields of military service and law enforcement agencies. These sectors will remain open only to Turkish citizens.
Additionally, the decree provides for the recognition of foreign diplomas and certificates as well as the possibility of registration in professional associations. However, these citizens will not be able to participate in local elections.
This initiative serves to further strengthen cooperation among Turkic peoples and will significantly ease the living and working conditions for thousands of citizens in Turkey. This will positively impact the development of economic and cultural ties among Turkic states.
After the decree is adopted, favorable conditions will be created for citizens coming from Turkic countries to live and carry out labor activities in Turkey.
