The list of countries with the lowest GDP for the year 2025 has been presented. South Sudan ranks first on this list, with a GDP per capita of 251 dollars.
As the only country in the Middle East, Yemen ranks second with 417 dollars. Additionally, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Malawi, Madagascar, Sudan, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Niger are also among the countries with the lowest GDP.
The United Nations has set ending poverty in all its forms as a priority goal within the framework of sustainable development goals by 2030. The organization is actively working on creating national and regional mechanisms aimed at reducing poverty in developing countries, expanding economic opportunities, and ensuring equitable access to natural resources for the population.
