The temporary truce between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been extended again. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by the Dawn newspaper. It is stated that this decision was made at the request of the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
Negotiations to resolve the conflict are planned to be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The Pakistani delegation has already arrived in Doha, while Afghan representatives are expected to arrive on October 18.
The truce will remain in effect until the peace talks are concluded. It is worth recalling that on October 15, the two countries reached an agreement on a 48-hour ceasefire.
Clashes began on the evening of October 11 at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and continued until the next morning. According to Afghan officials, at least 12 people were killed and more than 100 were injured during the fighting.
Currently, representatives of the two countries are trying to stabilize the situation through negotiations. Continuing the peace process is considered crucial for ensuring peace and security in the region.
