An employee of the U.S. Department of Energy with access to nuclear facilities was stripped of security clearance after uploading more than 187,000 erotic photos to the work server. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident was reported by the 404 Media outlet. According to the information, the man accidentally uploaded his personal pornographic archive to a government computer.
He intended to use these materials as a training database to create “robot pornography” based on artificial intelligence. After six months, colleagues discovered thousands of explicit photos collected on the internal server and conducted an investigation.
It was revealed that the employee had transferred his archive, which he had been collecting since the 1990s, to the work computer, but the system was unable to distinguish between personal and corporate files. The report states that he had suffered from depression for years and felt extremely lonely.
During interrogation, he admitted his guilt but did not consider his actions a major crime. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the management's excessive strictness and compared the investigation process to the Spanish Inquisition.
After being stripped of his security clearance, the employee filed an appeal, but psychological evaluation results found his condition severe, and the decision remained in effect. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of nuclear facility security and employee responsibility.
