Germany's SINN Power company has launched the world's first vertical floating solar power plant. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The project was implemented in the Bavaria region, with a capacity of 1870 kilowatts. The annual energy production volume is 2 million kilowatt-hours.
This indicator allows providing hundreds of households with stable electricity. The main innovation of the plant is manifested in the system called Skipp-Float.
Through this system, solar panels are installed in a vertical position. Such placement enables effective reception of sunlight during the morning and evening hours.
As a result, electricity production is stable and at a high level. Additionally, this technology does not harm the aquatic environment.
The system occupies only 4.65 percent of the water basin. This is considered important for ensuring ecological sustainability.
At the same time, the project is recognized as an innovative solution aimed at environmental protection and increasing energy efficiency.
