A 77-year-old cyclist in France fell into a 40-meter deep ravine and remained there for three days. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The local press reported on this incident. The elderly man fell into a ravine in southern France while returning home by bicycle from a store.
He tried several times to get out of the ravine but was unsuccessful. Each time he heard a voice above, he called for help, but initially no assistance arrived.
His survival was aided by a bag containing food and several bottles of wine. Interestingly, the bottles did not break and served as a source of food for the elderly man during the three days.
After three days, road workers noticed the bicycle frame near the ravine and immediately called rescuers. Firefighters safely rescued the cyclist.
Examinations at the hospital showed that he only sustained minor injuries and had no serious problems other than mild hypothermia. Doctors called this situation a "miracle" and praised the man's courage.
One of the doctors jokingly remarked, "He really is a tough nut to crack."
