It was revealed that illegal sales of alcoholic beverages were taking place in a semi-basement cafe located on Dybenko Street in the Nevsky district of Saint Petersburg. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This situation attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies, and a raid was conducted at the cafe. During the inspection, it was found that the cafe was operating without the necessary license.
Police officers discovered counterfeit alcoholic beverages presented as expensive whiskey, gin, and cognac, filled into empty bottles of popular brands. Additionally, several violations of migration laws were noted at the cafe.
Among the violators were not only customers but also cafe staff, including the 39-year-old Uzbek cafe owner. During the investigation, it became known that the cafe owner had a prior criminal record.
He attempted to evade responsibility by offering a bribe to one of the police officers. The entrepreneur tried to secretly place 100,000 rubles into the pocket of the police uniform.
However, these actions were unsuccessful – he was immediately detained, and the money was confiscated as evidence. The counterfeit alcoholic beverages were sent for examination.
Following this incident, the Russian investigative authorities initiated a criminal case for attempted bribery and other violations. Foreign citizens illegally present in the cafe were held administratively liable in accordance with migration legislation.
