A new project on ecology and water resource protection is being implemented in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
China's Qingyan Environmental Technology company plans to build a modern facility in our country with a capacity to treat 40 thousand cubic meters of wastewater per day. The project will include the installation of air filtration systems and modern treatment equipment.
The system, operating based on a four-stage technological process, will enable the recycling of wastewater coming from industrial zones and paint manufacturing enterprises. This facility fully complies with European environmental standards.
At least 60 percent of the treated water will be directed for reuse. Additionally, the sludge generated during the treatment process will be processed through a special drying system and used for electricity generation.
This project will be implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership. Chinese investors will take on the responsibility of managing and maintaining the facility for 15 years.
The cost of treating one cubic meter of water is approximately 1–1.2 dollars. Construction work is expected to be completed within 8 months.
Furthermore, in the Buloqboshi district of Andijan region, a large industrial complex worth 350 million dollars has been launched in cooperation between Uzbekistan and China. This project plans to establish enterprises producing polypropylene bags, concrete products, and walkway tiles.
It was also announced that a waste incineration plant worth 141 million dollars is being constructed by a Chinese company in the city of Fergana. Such projects are recognized as important steps in ensuring ecological sustainability and advancing the recycling sector in Uzbekistan.
