
A powerful tornado occurred in the southern state of Parana, Brazil. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information provided by local authorities, at least five people died and more than 130 citizens were injured as a result of this natural disaster. Some of the injured have been hospitalized in serious condition.
Meteorologists emphasized that the tornado was caused by the activation of a dangerous cloud system called a “supercell.” In some areas, wind speeds reached up to 250 kilometers per hour.
This is classified as an F2–F3 tornado on the Fujita scale. The natural disaster caused severe damage to hundreds of residential buildings, schools, commercial outlets, and infrastructure facilities.
Power supply was cut off, many roads were closed, and transportation was disrupted. Emergency services and military rescuers are currently continuing efforts to clear debris and relocate the affected people to safe locations.
Local authorities have established a special commission to assess the extent of the damage and oversee recovery efforts. At the same time, weather experts are studying the causes of the tornado and conducting research on measures to prevent such disasters in the future.
