The Turkish court has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israeli Army Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir, and Navy Commander David Salamani. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information from the Istanbul prosecutor's office, Anadolu Agency reported that a total of 37 individuals have been charged.
They are accused of committing "systematic genocide" and "crimes against humanity" during military operations carried out in the Gaza Strip since 2023. The charges include the killing of 6-year-old Hind Rajab, the attack on the "Al-Ahli" Baptist Hospital on October 17, 2023, which resulted in the death of 500 people, the deliberate destruction of medical equipment on February 29, 2024, and the bombing of the Turkey–Palestine Friendship Hospital on March 21, 2025.
Additionally, the prosecutor's office emphasized that the Gaza Strip was completely blockaded and that humanitarian aid was obstructed from reaching the victims. Turkish officials interpret this decision as an "important step in protecting human dignity and rights."
Meanwhile, the Israeli government has not yet issued an official response to these charges.
