This was reported by Tengrinews.kz. According to it, the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on February 19, 2026.
The month of Ramadan is considered one of the most sacred and revered months for Muslims. During this month, Muslims fast, pray, give charity, and strive for spiritual purification.
According to the lunar calendar, Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days. Ramadan in 2026 will end with Eid al-Fitr on March 20.
According to the calendar announced by SAMK, the Night of Qadr will fall on March 16–17. Eid al-Fitr is planned to be celebrated on March 20, and Eid al-Adha on May 29.
The religious administration emphasized that these dates are determined based on calculations from international astronomical centers. It was also noted that slight changes in the dates may occur depending on the sighting of the new moon.
In Uzbekistan, religious dates and holidays are determined by the Muslim Board based on crescent moon observations. Therefore, the calendar announced by Kazakhstan may differ from the Uzbek calendar.
