On November 10, the strongest and most energetic solar flare of the year was observed on the surface of the Sun. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute under the Russian Academy of Sciences reported this. According to scientists, this flare had an energy level of X5.1, which later reached X5.15.
This level was recorded as the highest activity since October 2024. According to experts, the explosion occurred in the active region number 4274 on the Sun.
This region is currently located in a position that could affect Earth. Therefore, as a result of the flare, there is a possibility of radio wave disturbances, satellite communication interruptions, or increased geomagnetic storm activity.
X-rays emitted from the Sun are being regularly monitored on online charts. Scientists note that the event is not yet over and that the active process is gradually decreasing.
It is reported that solar activity also increased significantly in October of this year, when several high-level flares were recorded. Experts evaluate these processes as a sign of approaching the "solar cycle peak" expected in 2025.
