
A 416-year-old grapevine was found in the mountains of Tibet and was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest grapevine in the world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The UPI news agency reported on this. This unique grapevine was discovered in the village of Zuoba in Tibet, located at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level.
Scientists studied the find and conducted special research to determine its age. This process was carried out at the Wood Science Research Laboratory at Southwest Forestry University in China.
The diameter of the ancient grapevine is seven meters and 50 centimeters. This record-holding plant amazed scientists and researchers not only with its age but also with its enormous size.
This discovery once again confirmed the richness of the plant world in the region.
