
The dangerous Marburg virus outbreak in Ethiopia is causing serious concerns. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Specifically, nine people, including healthcare workers, have been infected with this virus in the region bordering South Sudan. As a result, sanitary measures have been intensified.

The infectious disease has been recorded specifically in the southern regions. After nine patients were identified, local services switched to emergency mode.
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it has allocated financial aid amounting to 300 thousand dollars to combat the virus in Ethiopia and has sent necessary medical equipment. WHO experts emphasize that the Marburg virus resembles previous epidemics in East Africa.
Quarantine and sanitary inspections have been strengthened at the borders. A special testing system has been launched to detect the virus.
At the same time, research to develop a vaccine against the virus is ongoing. Specialists urge the public to follow precautionary measures and to consult a doctor immediately if suspicious symptoms appear.
