New political controversies are intensifying in the United States surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On November 17, former President Donald Trump addressed members of the Republican Party, urging them to support the initiative to disclose all materials related to the Epstein case in the House of Representatives. Trump emphasized that there is nothing to hide in this case and called the allegations circulating on the internet about his close ties with Epstein a "fake trick by the Democrats."
According to him, these accusations are aimed at discrediting the political achievements of the Republicans. Trump stated that tens of thousands of pages related to the Epstein case have already been disclosed.
He recalled that the U.S. Department of Justice has provided a large volume of documents on this matter. Trump emphasized that the Democrats are trying to conceal the connections of individuals such as former President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman with Epstein.
He added that if the Democrats had real evidence, they would have already revealed it before the elections. Recently, the Congressional Oversight Committee presented new materials obtained from Epstein's heirs to the public.
Among these documents are assumptions that Trump might have been aware of Epstein's illegal activities. Following this, Congress initiated discussions on the "Epstein Files Transparency Act."
If this bill is passed, all materials could be made public. Trump demanded that the Department of Justice and the FBI conduct a thorough investigation into the connections of individuals like Clinton, Summers, and Hoffman with Epstein.
He claimed that a significant part of these individuals' lives was connected to Epstein. Disagreements on this issue are also arising among Republicans.
For instance, Congress member Marjorie Taylor Greene supported a petition to ensure transparency in the Epstein case. Trump, however, expressed dissatisfaction with this decision, calling Greene a "traitor" and stating that he would not consider her as a candidate for high positions.
Subsequently, Greene announced that she had stopped supporting Trump. The Epstein case has been a pressing issue in the U.S. for years.
It is related to allegations of sexual violence and exploitation against underage girls, and the list of associated individuals — the "Epstein dossier" — remains a widely discussed topic. Trump had promised during his election campaign to fully disclose this list, but this promise has yet to be fulfilled.
The controversies intensified further following Elon Musk's statement that Trump is also mentioned in the "Epstein dossier."
