New information has emerged that the former US President Donald Trump's administration launched a secret diplomatic initiative aimed at stopping the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the reputable Axios portal, this plan is being implemented through secret negotiations with the President of Russia. High-ranking representatives of both countries are actively participating in the talks.
Sources say that the special 28-point peace plan developed by the Trump administration is aimed at gradually resolving the conflict. The document outlines four main directions: ensuring sustainable peace in Ukraine, introducing new mechanisms for security, revising the security architecture in Europe, and renewing the US diplomatic relations with Russia and Ukraine.
Trump's special envoy Steven Witkoff is actively working on this plan. He recently held several meetings with Russian President's representative Kirill Dmitriev.
Dmitriev visited Miami from October 24 to 26 and conducted closed-door negotiations for three days with Witkoff and the Trump team. Dmitriev described these meetings on his social media page as "effective and a new phase towards peace."
The negotiations also discussed economic cooperation and trade issues. At the same time, the Axios portal notes that detailed information about the peace plan has not yet been disclosed, especially regarding issues related to Ukrainian territories.
However, there are reports that the possibility of a prisoner exchange between Russia and the US is also being considered soon. Experts believe that this process is part of the US's updated foreign policy strategy, and the diplomatic efforts of the Trump administration may initiate a new phase.
Such dialogue between Washington and Moscow is expected to play an important role in resolving the conflict around Ukraine.
