The court verdict has been announced in a serious crime that occurred in Shyolkovo, Moscow region, Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It has been revealed that a 26-year-old Uzbek citizen beat a 49-year-old deaf-mute man, causing his death. The court sentenced him to only one year of probation.
Additionally, the accomplice who helped to hide the body was deported from Russia. This was reported by “Moscow Online”.
The incident took place on July 20 of this year. Two migrants searching for metal misunderstood the deceased’s warning by gestures not to cause trouble, taking it as an insult.
As a result, one of them struck the deaf-mute man several times. The man fell, suffered a severe head injury, and died at the scene.
After committing the crime, the two individuals dragged the body aside and tried to erase the traces. They were soon apprehended.
One was found guilty of murder, and the other of concealing the crime. Initially, the investigation assessed this act as “intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.”
However, later the charge was reduced to “causing death by negligence.” For this reason, the court mitigated the sentence and assigned one year of probation.
The deceased’s relatives are dissatisfied with the court’s decision. According to them, the victim did not cause the conflict; on the contrary, he called for peace.
They consider the investigation’s reduction of the charge and the court’s verdict to be unjust.
