The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada dismissed two ministers from their positions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's Minister of Justice German Galushenko and Minister of Energy Svetlana Grinchuk were dismissed due to a corruption-related scandal. This was announced during the voting process held in parliament.
323 deputies voted for Galushenko's resignation, and 315 deputies voted for Grinchuk's resignation. These decisions were adopted by the majority of the parliament members.
Earlier, these two ministers were temporarily suspended from their duties due to corruption allegations surrounding the state company "Energoatom" and Ukrainian businessman Timur Mindich. Members of the Verkhovna Rada expressed strong reactions to this situation and demanded a prompt review of the matter.
Originally, the vote on the ministers' resignations was scheduled for November 18. However, the session was temporarily suspended because some deputies blocked the parliamentary podium, demanding the resignation of all government members.
It is currently unknown who will be appointed to these positions. Observers consider these events as part of structural changes within the Ukrainian government.
