Information about the plan proposed by the Donald Trump administration to stop the war in Ukraine has been disclosed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The "Axios" publication released a draft version of this plan, and its authenticity was confirmed by US and Ukrainian officials. The plan consists of 28 points, containing important proposals regarding Ukraine's future and regional security.
According to the "Financial Times," the US is demanding that Kyiv quickly adopt the peace agreement. Sources say the US president wants Zelensky to sign this agreement before Thanksgiving.
However, Ukrainian officials have stated that meeting this deadline is difficult. Meanwhile, on November 20, Zelensky received representatives of the US military and obtained the official presentation of the peace plan from them.
In his speech, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine needs a "decent peace" and announced that the main principles have been established. Ukraine's Deputy Representative to the UN, Kristina Gayovishin, noted that Kyiv has its own "red lines" which will not be crossed.
According to the main points of the plan, Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk are recognized as Russian territory, while Kherson and Zaporizhzhia are divided along the front line. The Ukrainian army will be reduced, and non-membership in NATO will be enshrined in the Constitution.
Additionally, $100 billion from Russia's frozen assets will be allocated for Ukraine's recovery. Politically, sanctions against Russia will be gradually lifted, there will be a possibility to return to the G8 format, and elections will be held in Ukraine.
However, Ukraine has protested some of the plan's demands. In particular, Kyiv rejected the requirement to audit international aid during the war.
Instead of this demand, Ukraine is requesting full amnesty for all actions during the war period. In conclusion, negotiations regarding Trump's peace plan are ongoing intensely.
Each point of the plan could have significant political and territorial consequences for Ukraine. Relations between the parties are expected to become even more tense in the coming days.
