Shinhan Bank, a major financial institution in South Korea, has now started offering financial advisory services to its clients in Uzbek. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Korea Herald also reported on this. Overall, the bank provides services in 12 languages for foreign clients, including Russian.
The increased demand for services in Uzbek is particularly linked to the growing number of Uzbeks seeking employment in South Korea. Shinhan Bank's foreign client service center offers international money transfers, account opening, mobile banking services, and oral translation services for individuals who do not speak Korean.
A bank representative said: "We continue to eliminate difficulties related to financial services for foreign clients." Shinhan Bank is one of South Korea's largest financial conglomerates, with its headquarters located in Seoul. The bank's history dates back to 1897, associated with the Hanseong Bank, which was established as the country's first bank.
