
According to the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Internal Affairs, Qodirbek Atambaev, son of the country's former president Almazbek Atambaev, and a group of his supporters are suspected of attempting to organize mass unrest. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to investigative authorities, these individuals planned to make unconstitutional demands and seize state institutions, including administrative buildings, broadcasting facilities, arms depots, and penal institutions, following the announcement of the parliamentary election results. During conducted searches, weapons, ammunition, grenades, communication devices, plans for illegal activities, documents related to their financing, as well as narcotics and cash amounting to 150 thousand dollars were seized from the suspects.
Early parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on November 30 of this year. Initially, these elections were scheduled for November 2026.
However, on September 25, the current deputies announced their voluntary resignation from their mandates.
