
Famous Indian film actor Dharmendra, whose full name is Dharmendra Keval Krishan Deol, passed away at the age of 89. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The "Hindustan Times" publication reported this. It is known that the actor was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai two weeks ago due to deteriorating health.
"Variety" reported that he was experiencing difficulties in breathing. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the actor's family.
"The death of Dharmendra Ji marks the end of an era in Indian cinema. He was a great actor who brought unique charm and depth to every role," Modi emphasized on his social media page.
Dharmendra began his acting career in the 1960s and played roles in over 250 films throughout his creative path. Uzbek viewers know him well through films such as "Seeta Aur Geeta," "Qasos Aur Kanoon," and "Favorite Raja."
Additionally, in the 1980s, he founded the production company "Vijayta Films." During his career, he was known not only as an actor and producer but also as a politician.
From 2004 to 2009, he served as a member of the lower house of the Indian Parliament. Dharmendra left an indelible mark in history as one of the brightest stars of Indian cinema.
