Two more alcohol product stores are planned to open in Saudi Arabia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Reuters reported on this. One of the new stores will be built in the eastern province city of Dhahran, within the state-owned Aramco oil company area.
Only non-Muslim individuals will be allowed to enter this store. The second store is being established in the port city of Jeddah.
This store is mainly intended for non-Muslim diplomats, as many foreign consulates are located in this area. This initiative is another step within the framework of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's policy to open the country and ease restrictions.
It is known that last year, the first alcohol product store for diplomats in 73 years was opened in Riyadh. The new retail outlets to be opened are the second and third stores intended for the sale of alcoholic beverages, which are strictly prohibited in the kingdom, and are seen as part of the gradual process of easing certain restrictions in the country.
