Sergey Mironov, leader of the "Fair Russia — For Truth" party in Russia, emphasized that migration issues have become a serious problem in the country and called for strict measures to be taken in this regard. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In his appearance on the "Russia 24" TV channel, the politician presented three main proposals regarding migrants. Among these proposals is the introduction of a visa regime with Central Asian countries.
According to Mironov, in some regions of Russia, the local population is forced to leave their places of residence. He explained this situation as "the newcomers occupying the territory and living according to their customs."
The politician criticized migrants for not complying with Russian laws, assessed the situation as extremely serious, and demanded strict measures. Mironov's first proposal is to abandon the patent system for migrants and switch to a rotation method.
That is, workers should be provided with accommodation not in cities but at construction sites. This principle is based on the "came – worked – left" order.
The second proposal implies that if a migrant commits a crime, not only he but also his family members and relatives should be deported from the country. This means introducing a collective punishment mechanism.
The third proposal is to introduce a visa regime with Central Asian countries. Mironov emphasized that the introduction of this regime is inevitable.
The politician has previously spoken about the excessive burden of migration flows on the social sector. According to him, most migrants come to Russia not for work but for personal and family reasons.
Therefore, this issue requires even more serious attention.
