According to CBS News on December 1, 2025, the famous director James Cameron considered the use of generative artificial intelligence in cinema to be dangerous. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In his opinion, creating an actor or their performance through artificial intelligence using text prompts is completely contrary to the creative process. "If I continue filming movies at 87 years old with an oxygen tube in my nose and, by chance, try things I haven't learned yet, I will be happy," Cameron said.
The director emphasized that he prefers his own acting style over artificial intelligence. Cameron calls this style "a celebration of the actor and director."
According to him, for example, the digital graphics technologies used in the "Avatar" films were employed solely to accurately capture the performances of live actors. The director's next film, "Avatar: The Fire and the Ash," will be released on big screens next month.
Cameron did not hide his eagerness to learn new things every time he works on complex visual effects and his excitement before each premiere.
