Four individuals were arrested by South Korean police for hacking 120,000 surveillance cameras and selling intimate videos. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It has been revealed that they mainly exploited security vulnerabilities in homes and hospitals. These hackers distributed the stolen videos through foreign websites and exchanged them for cryptocurrency.
As a result of their illegal activities, it was found that they earned between 18 million and 35 million won. The police have taken measures against this crime and advised the public to regularly change the passwords of their surveillance cameras.
Currently, three of the four suspects have been detained. This incident once again highlights the need for serious attention to security and privacy protection issues in South Korea.
