In India, measures to combat wild wolves are being intensified to ensure people's safety. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Special drones, camera traps, and sniper teams have been deployed in the state of Uttar Pradesh to monitor wolves and reduce their threat to human lives. In the past three months, 9 people, mostly children, have died as a result of wolf attacks.
This was reported by the Le Figaro publication. According to the information, although wolves are usually active at night, they are currently attacking during the day as well.
Experts believe this situation may be related to the disruption of their habitat or a lack of food. According to forest official Rama Singh Yadav, all necessary measures are being taken to ensure safety in the area.
For example, on November 29, it was reported that a wolf took a 10-month-old baby who was sleeping next to its mother. One day earlier, a 5-year-old child was attacked and killed by a wolf in front of his home.
These incidents have caused great concern among the local population. Many are even afraid to let their children out into the yard.
Approximately 3,000 wolves live in India, most of which are found outside protected areas, near residential zones. The measures implemented by the government are aimed at controlling wildlife and ensuring public safety.
