The government of Kazakhstan plans to ban children under the age of 16 from creating accounts on social networks. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This restriction may be applied to video hosting services, social networks, and other major online platforms. The decision was developed with the aim of protecting children from harmful content.
The restriction does not apply only to messengers, meaning children can continue to use these platforms. According to information, the draft law has been reviewed several times and more than 80 amendments have been made.
If approved, the new rules may come into effect next year. Officials emphasize that these measures are designed to ensure children's online safety and support their healthy development.
Currently, this initiative is receiving significant attention, and its implementation is being widely discussed in society.
