Russia's Ozon bank has started issuing debit cards for citizens of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and other countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
More than 90 countries' residents can use this service. To obtain a card, foreign citizens must provide a passport and documents confirming their right to stay in Russia.
With these cards, it is possible to withdraw up to 3 million rubles per month (approximately 462.5 million soms) in cash, make money transfers, as well as shop with discounts and receive cashback on the Ozon platform. Ozon bank plans to expand the number of countries where cards can be issued in the future.
The bank was established in 2022, based on "Oney bank," which previously operated in the Russian market. In July of this year, Ozon bank was sanctioned by the European Union.
Nevertheless, the bank has not been disconnected from the SWIFT system, although some restrictions on transactions have been introduced.
